Today we had a good day, three separate walkies amounting to between 5 and 6 miles. Also with a little coxing Timothy - Michael volunteered to put his front paws into the back of the car at which point we called it quits for the day. It might not seem a big deal but he did it all himself on a completely slack lead. Tonight on the TV there were some sheep and this freaked him out so much we had to turn off the TV. He turned instantly into a completely different dog to the one we have had for the past week. Even with the TV on a different channel it took him over half an hour to return to something like his new self. Someone should be locked up for what they have done to this dog.

Timoth - Michael loves his football and will sit with it when not chasing it.

Oreo had a lot of car issues too. I spent a lot of time just feeding him chicken in and around the car. I wouldn't say he's relaxed about the car now, but he does hop in readily. I'm sure Timmy will get there too, he's lucky to have such a patient new owner.
ReplyDeleteStrange how he got spooked by sheep on tv!
I think the sound of the sheep probably reminded him of home. Some farmers and also gamekeepers don't see the dogs as we do, they are just tools to them. Some will hand them in to rescue places and others will just shoot them when they get a younger dog. Then there are those that drive them out somewhere and dump them and then they get picked up as strays. If Timmy is six then he is probably an unwanted farm dog.
